About Us:
We are a Commercial General Contractor specializing in commercial construction projects across DFW and Austin market segments. We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a proven background in the construction industry to help grow our client base and revenue.

Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will lead efforts to develop new business opportunities, maintain strong client relationships, and position our company as a trusted partner in the commercial construction market. This role requires deep industry knowledge, a strong professional network, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams to win high-value projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement business development strategies to expand our presence in commercial construction markets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, developers, and industry partners.
  • Identify, target, and pursue new clients through market research, networking, and relationship building.
  • Understand customer organizations and position the company effectively for project wins.
  • Deliver value propositions that differentiate us in a competitive marketplace.
  • Prepare, write, and coordinate RFP/RFQ responses and lead presentations for client interviews.
  • Conduct win/loss reviews to strengthen sales strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate with preconstruction and operations teams to develop competitive proposals.
  • Represent the company at industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity to inform strategic planning.
  • Help with marketing and social media posts to promote the company.
  • Track and manage contacts in the company CRM.
  • Responsibly for running monthly Business Development meetings.
  • Prepare reports on sales performance, market analysis, and project progress for senior management.

Qualifications:

· Minimum 5 + years’ experience in business development or sales for a General Contractor or in the commercial construction industry.

· Proven track record of winning projects in multiple commercial sectors

· Knowledge of commercial market segments

· Strong presentation, communication, and negotiation skills.

· Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

· Highly organized, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $95,000.00 per year
